The name, Aonyx Capenses, is the scientific name for the Cape Clawless Otter. I chose the name because of the description of the otters by Bruce Kinloch, a wildlife conservation leader and author:
“The otters, as a family, are gregarious, affectionate, inquisitive, happy-go-lucky, cheerful, easy-going clowns; roving gypsies of the wild.”
